Power output
The gear oil pump operates by rotating an internal pair of meshing gears, creating a vacuum in the suction chamber that draws hydraulic oil from the reservoir. The oil is then forced through the gear engagement, generating high-pressure oil flow in the discharge chamber. This pressurized oil powers the hydraulic actuators (such as cylinders and hydraulic motors) of the spreading vehicle, driving the spreading mechanism—whether it’s the rotation of spiral blades to fling material or the tilting of the hopper for unloading.
Traffic Supply
The displacement of the gear oil pump—defined as the volume of oil delivered per unit of time—is relatively constant, providing a stable flow rate to the hydraulic system. This ensures that the working components of the spreading vehicle, such as the spreading screw, operate at the preset speed, maintaining uniform and consistent material distribution while preventing uneven spreading caused by fluctuations in flow.
System pressure maintenance
When the spreading vehicle performs load operations—such as the hopper rising and lowering when fully loaded, or the spreading screw rotating against material resistance—the gear oil pump maintains the system’s required working pressure, ensuring that the actuating elements have sufficient driving force to complete their movements, thereby preventing jams or stalls caused by inadequate pressure.
Structural Adaptability
Gear oil pumps feature a simple design, compact size, low cost, and strong resistance to contamination—making them ideal for the dusty and debris-filled conditions often found in material-spreading vehicle operating environments. They are also easy to maintain and well-suited to handle the challenging, complex usage conditions typical of agricultural or livestock settings.
